Custom Teddy Portrait: Upgrading from 8 to 10 Inches

On May 28, 2026, a pet owner contacted the studio to commission a flat needle-felted portrait of her brown Teddy dog. She initially selected an 8-inch size but, after some thought, felt it was too small to fully capture the details, so she upgraded to the 10-inch version. She specifically requested that the dog's actual fur be incorporated into the piece and repeatedly emphasized the need to accurately reproduce a unique mark: a small black spot on the dog's nose. Additionally, she requested delivery by the end of June, asking for exquisite packaging and the inclusion of a handwritten card.
Incorporating Chest Fur and Replicating the Nose Spot

Upon receiving the fur sent by the owner, we evenly implanted it into the chest area of the portrait, ensuring this touch of personal warmth was placed closest to the heart. During the crafting process, we meticulously replicated the small black spot on the nose and repeatedly compared and adjusted every detail—from the nuances of the fur color to the dog's facial expression. We met the agreed-upon deadline, sending photos of the finished piece to the owner for confirmation on June 26.
Commemorative Card and Careful Packaging

The owner soon provided the message for the card: "Death is not the end; being forgotten is. To our beloved Danjuan." It turned out that Danjuan—the brown Teddy—had already passed away, leaving behind the owner who loved him dearly. We prepared a beautiful greeting card and envelope, carefully transcribing the heartfelt message. After adding protective cushioning and securely packaging the portrait, we shipped it out, hoping this warm memento would serve as a lasting companion to the owner on Danjuan's behalf.
