Three Dogs in One Frame, Customization Begins

On March 11, 2025, client Yomiki contacted our studio with a special request – to create a custom wool felt portrait of her three dogs. The unique challenge was that she didn't have a single photo of all three dogs together; she could only provide individual snapshots. She hoped we could combine these individual images to create a "group portrait" of the three dogs in felt, a gift for a friend.

Years of Regret, Filled with Affection

During our communication, we learned the significance behind this custom order: one of the dogs had already passed away, and the other two were already 15 years old. Yomiki expressed her regret that she hadn't taken many good photos of her dogs in the past, and the only ones she had were occasional snapshots. Because of this regret, she especially wanted to use wool felt to bring the three dogs together in the most perfect way.

Heartwarming Request, Capturing Joy

Besides creating a group portrait, Yomiki had another gentle request: "Make them look happy." This simple sentence held deep affection for her dogs and a warm blessing for her friend – she wanted this gift to convey warmth and joy, not separation and sadness.

Craftsmanship and Dedication, Fulfilling a Wish

We carefully studied each dog's photo, meticulously comparing their expressions, fur color, and body shape, striving to create a natural and harmonious image, as if they had always been together. For us, this was not just a simple custom order, but an opportunity to use our craftsmanship to mend a regret of time, to capture a special "reunion moment" for the three dogs, and to preserve this precious memory for Yomiki and her friend.
